Hot tubs are a great way to relax after a long day and also add style to your home. Hot tubs are normally heated by a hot tub heater powered by electricity or natural gas, although there a few other methods that are used.

A hot tub pump contains an impeller which moves the water in the hot tub, which is in turn controlled by an electric motor. This must be functioning properly in order for your hot tub to work and sometimes this part can become damaged or malfunction, requiring repair or replacement.

Hot tubs can be purchased in two types:

Wooden-staved soaking tubs:

Wooden stave hot tubs are made using wooden stave's and large steel bands. They can be bought in redwood, cedar or teak with most older hot tub models being made from redwood. They often have a built in wooden bench seat around the ring of the tub.

One Piece Plastic Hot Tubs:

One piece plastic hot tubs are also known as spas and they are the most popular type of hot tubs because they are cheaper, easier to manufacture, and easier to install. They come with many modern features such as internal seating and automatically rotating jets.

There are also other types of hot tubs such as inflatable hot tubs and portable hot tubs. Sundance hot tubs are recognized as being the best hot tubs available and have long been known for their quality and class. Proper sanitizing of all hot tubs is extremely important which includes maintaining a properly balanced water chemistry.
