Tiles and stone are the main materials used in many major projects both in the home and outdoors. If you are planning on renovating your bathroom or kitchen, you will definitely be needing flooring tile.

Many different tile designs can be purchased for your home renovation project and can be helpful to obtain a sample catalog that includes all of the designs that are offered by the place you are purchasing from, so that you can decide beforehand which tile set is right for your project.

Bathroom tile, kitchen tile, and wall tile can be made from any one of the following materials:

Marble Tile:

Marble tile is most often found in bathrooms and while very attractive, polished marble can be easily scratched and stained and is not recommended for rooms where this can happen.

Ceramic Tile:

Ceramic tile is the most common kind of tile and may be ribbed on the back. They are not the most crack resistant type of tile and they are hard and rigid.

Granite Tile:

Granite tile is the most durable type of tile and is highly resistant to cracking and scratching.

Slate Tile:

Slate tile is laminated and similar to ceramic tile in that it needs to have a solid base underneath and is rigid, but also more durable and resistant to cracking than ceramic tile is.

Floor tiling can also come in natural stone as and in many different shapes, sizes and textures. With the right set of tile and stone and a professionally done tile installation, your project will be on it's way to success.
