Waterproofing services are essential to finishing any basement. Without foundation waterproofing, water will seep through your basement foundation leading to a very wet basement. Waterproofing contractors can professionally waterproof your leaky basement

Basements are built on a concrete foundation. No matter how solid the concrete foundation is, it is inevitable that at some point it will begin to form small cracks. This is how moisture can seep into your basement from the surrounding soil outside of the basement. A waterproofing company can repair this problem through foundation waterproofing.

Waterproofing can be done using one of several different methods:

Interior water drainage:

Interior water drainage is a process that involves draining water that enters from the basement wall floor joint into a trench drain which collects all of the water that enters the basement. This water is then redirected to a sump pump which removes all of the water from the basement.

External waterproofing:

External waterproofing prevents any water from entering the house from the outside and protects the materials of your basement. This is done using a polymer based compound which has been found to be very effective. Previously, this type of foundation waterproofing was done using tar and asphalt based compounds, which while effective, would degrade over the course of 10 to 20 years.

Basement sealing will protect your basement from the elements. A waterproof basement will ensure that all of your time, money and effort invested isn't destroyed by the elements.
